Theresa Andersson THERESA ANDERSSON (EP)
  Theresa Andersson
  Basin Street Records - 2006
5 PEPPERS!!!!! A Review By Paule Pachter, February 11, 2007

Theresa Andersson is one of the most passionate songwriters, singers and musicians that the Crescent City has to offer. She’s an exceptional balladeer equally comfortable with Country, Folk and Rock ‘n’ Roll. Oh, and did I mention that she’s one of the best female musicians in New Orleans as well, talented on the guitar, banjo, and a killer violinist. When I previewed the film; “New Orleans Music in Exile” I was immediately taken by Andersson’s incredible and haunting version of “Like a Hurricane,” which sets the tone of the post Katrina documentary. I thought that it would be great if Theresa Andersson released some more of these types of ballads with some good acoustic and percussion sounds backing her up.

Well guess what? Theresa Andersson did just that with her new self-titled EP that contains five exceptional tracks including stellar covers of Lucinda William’s “Jackson” and Madonna’s “Borderline.” Her voice resonates emotion on each track and the material is extremely well suited to her style. These are five tracks worth listening to and Theresa Andersson scores our highest five-pepper rating for this EP. That would be one for each track. You can purchase this EP online from the artist’s website at: www.theresaandersson.com or at Amazon.

We greatly appreciate your support and encouragement of The Zydeco Road. Working together, we can enhance the recognition that Zydeco music and its artists so greatly deserve on Long Island and within the Metro New York area.
